So after playing around with Photoshop today I managed to whip up something trippy. What do you guys think? What do you think it means?
It’s sort of like dreaming… you just go on about your business sleeping and somehow you end up whipping up weird images but what DO they mean? IF they even have meaning? And why do these images come together the way they do?
Hmm interesting. I might go from here… dreaming = random = meaningfulness? (Is this even a word…)

Very cool! Love how the hand becomes a drawing of itself… I think random dream images definitely have meaning, but I don’t think anyone can properly explain an image from someone else’s sleeping mind. In the waking world symbolism is structured, culturally rooted and socially accepted. In our dreams we come up with all sorts of crazy subconscious metaphors that our conscious minds would never put together. The connotation of the images is completely personal, like you had a slice of pizza the day you met the love of your life so now you dream about pepperoni and wake up feeling comforted. lol. Is self connotation a word/existing concept? Is there a word for that? Anyway enough avoiding the rain, good luck with your project!
LOL!
I love the pizza example… that is so true!
Anyway I hope my “Draft” has some sort of meaning for everyone else.
Thanks for your comment!
wow. love the way it turned out!
looks like a shot from an animated movie (the hand, sky and beetle-looking bug reminds me of studio ghibli).
really like the way you’ve placed the hand, book and photo of the boats so nicely together. definetly see some sort of movement even though its a still image (created by the transformation of the hand?)
glad you’ve found a way to transform that gross-looking bug (its completely different!)
good luck! can’t wait to see your end result!
Aw thanks for your comment!
The thing is though, I’m worried that it doesn’t connect to the idea of “The impossible dream” since it’s not exactly a picture put together but rather a composition… I’ll keep working on it though.
good job!!
